Hi Chris,
26 008 arrived last Saturday. I have been able to look at it since the day you put the photos of it into your site, so knew what I would be receiving. Incredible I thought. But wait, could something really be that incredible? Now that I have received the loco I do not know any words in either of my languages which can do full justice to describe the quality of the loco, incredible is not enough.

All I can say is that I have been transported back in time to my summer holidays in the mid seventies and I’m standing on Maisondieu Road looking at a BR blue class 26 quietly turning over in Elgin yard – more than likely that very loco as I copped it back then. Oh that sound…..
It really looks the part pulling your blue grey MK2s, and as that is the only stock I have which is of a quality high enough to have gained the right to be pulled by it, that’s all it will pull.

Regarding your Class 26, are you also able to produce them in the un-refurbished version of 1970s in BR Blue? TPM used to have a kit, don’t know whether you used them or whether they are still available. And would they fit the Kato chassis?

Well I’m glad I didn’t shut down my brain. The best decision I’ve made in a very long time. So “let the picture paint a thousand words” - every visitor to your website should call up the photos of 26 008 and marvel at your skill.
The only way to top that is for you to have your own range of 2mm scale drivers which are able to climb in and out of cabs on their own. Now that’s a thought.
