CJM updates to the site have been a rarity of late, guess who has been very busy? So to put that right I thought we’d start with a newsletter and I have sent Gareth a disc with some photos to update the site and this will add further interest over the coming weeks! The buy now pages will not be done until after the Demu show for obvious reasons. So what’s new, changed or varied?

This livery really suits the 67 and commemorates the retirement of Keith Heller. The first 9 have been finished and the 10th will go to its new owner after the Demu show next week. 10 more will be started later this month at £475.00 including full super detailing. Kevin Devine’s comments eloquently reflect customer’s reaction so I’ll leave it to him to describe!
"I am still marveling at the fantastic loco. 67018 "Keith Heller" in DB Schenker livery is staggeringly fantastic! I think I am running out of superlatives to describe your workmanship.
I checked out photos of the real loco and looked at drawings, and the model is so exact and realistic in every way. I am left full of admiration at your skilled craftsmanship - the attention to detail is truly superb. Running-in has started and I must say it moves like a dream, even over some of my own track work!"
Many thanks once again for a superb model” Kevin Devine 02-06-2010

I am now painting 5 of these locos this is likely to be the only batch this year so if you are tempted let me know! The model depicted was the first built in 2002 and the current model benefits from many updates to body and chassis, a quick look at an Aggregates Industries 59 will give a clue as to the current finish. Prices start from £450.00.

It is many years since CJM reviewed its pricing structure and over the past 2 years costs have risen, by over 40%! Fall in the pound, raw materials (metals) and petrochemical derivatives (resins) are all contributing factors. Whilst it would take a 12% increase to restore margins to 2007 levels I have met you half way and limited the increase to typically 6%. Additionally I will honour the price on all orders received prior to the 9th June 2010 and invoiced before the 1st September 2010. CJM used to invest 30% of its profits in new product each year and if this situation is to be restored and allow the introduction of models like 58, EMU’s, Arbel, DBSOs and others deliberately not mentioned then I will need to keep this under review. You only need to reread Kevin’s comments to realise where the money goes!

The introduction of the Dapol 58 has been received with mixed comments! A final decision on my model will be taken before the end of the month, as I will be making a substantial investment to put the model into production. The model will be typical CJM, very accurate, beautifully finished and detailed in all liveries and numbers available, 2 distinct versions and a chassis to die for! Your input could influence my final decision!

This model has been sitting at the moulders for some considerable time! Whilst I have a fair number of orders I need 20 more to at least cover the cost of production. The model has many enhancements over the TPM / ATM offering and comes with the benefit of a full CJM paint finish! There may be a sample at the DEMU show! I anticipate a finished set selling for around £275.00.

A vital part for my chassis is currently in short supply at present so to guarantee production of CJM locos, supply of chassis only orders will be very restricted. Hopefully this situation will be resolved soon.
(full details on site)
This will be my first visit to this show and comes highly recommended, so I will have a full stand there together with a wide selection of CJM locos and wagons kindly lent by their owners for the event. I will also have a number of CJM locos for immediate delivery as well as stock boxes and second hand items. It offers a great opportunity to view CJM product at first hand and to renew old friendships. It costs nothing to chat so see you there!
