CJM Models Version of the New Graham Farish Class 47
The Real Class 47 - 47799 "Prince Henry"
The CJM Class 47 is derived from the Graham Farish by Bachmann Class 47. With the release of their new model it has given CJM the opportunity to revisit this classic loco. CJM are using Graham Farish model number 371-828 as the basis for the reworked models which follow.
47798 "Prince William" - CJM version of the New Graham Farish 47
The first and most obvious thing to notice is that the CJM Saturn 3 chassis has been fitted and incorporates CJM later style battery box together with all the other outstanding qualities of a Saturn chassis. Naturally being a CJM model this is far more than just a repaint, additional preparation of the body mouldings with subtle enhancements where appropriate. Plus all the prototypical detailing that you have come to expect, including new alternative buffer beams (cut away and original), full cab interior including drivers, new etched replacement cab side and optional front hand rails, appropriate jumper cables, high intensity head lights, additional detailing to roof and of course the option of a fully super detailed buffer beam incorporating all appropriate pipework and multiple unit boxes as fitted to individual sub classes.

CJM 47798 Prince William name plates and separate hand rail
Of course the last thing to occur is the naming with authentic beautifully etched stainless steel plates that can even be read, which is surprising as the Prince William plate is approximately 1.5mm high! Also in this image is a good close up shot of the stainless hand rail.

As with all things there is a but, and it is the loss of working headlights which cannot be incorporated when using the Saturn chassis. That said the gallery below will let you judge if the finished result makes up for this.
The price of this loco starts at £475 + P&P. Naturally with so many variations in respect of detailing and weathering, full quotations can be provided upon request.
