Introduced to the model world in 1994, CJM's class 89 set the standard and received critical acclaim! Since then the model has been upgraded and now, like all CJM locomotives, incorporates CJM's own 'Saturn series chassis' ensuring that the model maintains its reputation. In 2003 flush glazing was added and for 2004 improvements to the pantograph 'well' have been made as seen on the Hi-res photo studio 89 001 below.

The prototype has had a chequered career, having appeared in three liveries and enjoying a period in private ownership. The unique locomotive was refurbished by Brush Traction and saw daily use on the East Coast mainline wearing the colours of GNER and looking very striking.

Hi-resolution photo studies

The following pages below contain Hi-Resolution images, and Adobe Reader is required to view them. Unlike other manufacturers, at CJM we want you to see and appreciate all the accurate detail and work involved, however please remember you are looking at models that are approximately 4-5 inches long, with the ability to zoom so that components are the same size as the real loco! Its cruel and sometimes painful, especially when we spot the odd problem with the model, that you cant even see normally with a magnifying glass!
